Practicum hiring seasons usually take place in February/March and begin at the end of summer, and in November/December to begin in January. During these hiring seasons, you may connect with us at your school’s practicum fair or email Katheryn de Arakal, Director of Operations, at kdearakal@emmausroadcounseling.com.
Trainees are required to fill out an online application and attend an interview. The online application will ask for your résumé, a one-page statement of faith, contact information for two references, and your availability. Since our work involves a great amount of spiritual integration, it is important that you are able to articulate that process and that your life demonstrates an authentic relationship with Christ. Accepted trainees will also be required to sign a Statement of Faith and a Code of Ethics. Trainees are considered volunteers and will donate their counseling hours for the first year of employment.
Practicum eligible trainees must have this site approved by their graduate program.
We are an approved practicum site for Azusa Pacific University, Concordia University, Cal Baptist University, Hope International University, Pepperdine University, Pacific Oaks College, Regent University, University of La Verne, and Vanguard University.
If you attend a different school, please contact Jana Plant, Clinical Director, at jplant@emmausroadcounseling.com and she will discuss the site application process with you.

Associates and licensed professionals working within the community have the opportunity to become paid employees, receiving a percentage of fees collected. The application process is the same as it is for trainees.
Please inquire with Jana Plant, jplant@emmausroadcounseling.com for application and interview information.
