Child & Teen Therapy

As a parent, do you ever wonder:

"Is my child going to be okay?
Will my child recover from this situation?
Why is parenting so hard?
Why does my child’s behavior bring out such strong feelings in me?"

You want to feel hopeful and are longing for more but not sure how to get there. The problem is you feel you are out of solutions. You feel stuck, tired, and hopeless. At Emmaus Road, we bring a change of perspective into your child’s behaviors. We provide newfound skills to help you tackle the problems you and your child face. Our goal is to help you restore the relationship between you both and to renew your hope and confidence in your child and in your role as a parent.

While children and adolescents often do not have the ability to identify and verbalize what is going on inside, they show us through their moods, behaviors, actions and academics.

Our therapists are here to listen, understand, and help your child process their thoughts and feelings. We partner with you both and bring a change of perspective to their behavior and provide skills to help you and your child tackle the problems you are facing.

  • Identify ways to manage and change emotions

  • Increasing positive emotional events

  • Increase effective coping strategies.

  • Explore interpersonal response patterns
