Michael Callahan

MFT Trainee

  • Life offers plenty of challenges and opportunities to get stuck, whether that be as a result of trauma, anxiety, depression, or a variety of other life stressors. My goal as a Marriage and Family Therapy Trainee is to help guide people through those times of difficultly by walking alongside of them, regardless of where they are at in the journey. I realize firsthand how difficult it is to seek therapy, but I believe in the process and am committed to the notion that people can and do change.

As a pastor and United States Army Chaplain, I am passionate about working with populations who have experienced trauma, spiritual burnout, anxiety, depression, couples issues, and more. I have experience with a variety of populations, ranging from the local church to the military to law enforcement, but always strive to treat people with dignity, respect, and unconditional positive regard. I have a BA from California State University, Fullerton, a Master of Divinity from Talbot School of Theology, and am currently completing my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. In addition to my full-time pastorate and Army obligations, I also serve as a volunteer chaplain for Covina Police Department, where I have the privilege of serving men and women in uniform as well as the larger community of Covina.

Michelle Palacios

MFT Trainee

  • I have a desire to walk with clients as they journey towards healing and wholeness. My vision is to help clients navigate through their life story and discover how their unique experiences have shaped them. I look forward to being a conduit of hope to each client as they journey through self-awareness. I am also passionate about spiritual and psychological integration. I believe gaining insight on the characteristics and intentions of God can help one embrace their own life story and help deepen self-awareness.

I graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a B.A in Psychology. I am currently earning my M.A in Marriage and Family Therapy from Biola University’s Talbot Theological Seminary. I have over twelve years’ experience volunteering in a church setting through various ministries including youth, young adults, and married couples.

It's a unique gift that your church leadership sees mental health as something important to support for your congregation. Not just our spiritual health but our mental health is such an important part of our lives, and it's so good to see churches taking that seriously.

We appreciate when churches partner with us to help their members find hope and experience healing. As a result, we get to offer our services to you at a reduced rate.

The greatest gift you can give yourself and your family is the gift of you being a growing person. In addition to being part of a faith community to grow in your relationship with God, receiving counseling is an excellent way to grow as a person.
