Kelsey Pollema

PCC Trainee

My name is Kelsey and I am currently in my second year of graduate school at Azusa Pacific University working towards my Masters in Counseling Psychology with emphasis in children and adolescents. I have completed all of the required course work up to this point for me to competently provide individual therapy and group therapy. I am looking forward to working with individuals of all ages and who come from any background and bring a variety of different difficulties such as anxiety, depression, adjustment problems, trauma, eating disorders, guidance for the future, etc. I have a special passion for working with children and adolescents (ages 3-20) and have gained much experience in working with this specific population. Furthermore, I have experience working as a DIR Floortime therapist and provided clinical and in-home play-therapy sessions for children and their families. I have experience working with individuals with special needs and have such a special passion in my heart for working with such youth as well. It is my greatest desire to provide a positive counseling experience for each client I have the opportunity to serve so that he/she may be able to thrive in all that God has called them to be and find their identity secure in Him. Furthermore, Christian faith is one of the biggest assets to my approach to therapy. It is my prayer that through incorporating the work of the Holy Spirit, biblical precepts, prayer, meditation, and theoretical techniques, we can together journey towards wholesome healing. These days can be troubling. Whatever difficulties you are facing, they are welcome in my space and I would be so happy to offer my care and guidance to you.
