Katheryn de Arakal
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #122157
Due to an upcoming leave of absence in fall 2021, I am happy to facilitate new clients interested in therapy to find a well-suited therapist from Emmaus Road.
I believe we are created for relationship—with others, with God, and even with ourselves. It is my desire for clients to uncover how past and current relationships influence your behavior, thoughts, and feelings in order to bring about change and healing. For many years, I worked with adolescents and young adults in ministry and other settings, thankful for the opportunity to walk alongside during these transformative years. I am proudly Level 3 trained in the Gottman Couples Method, having skills in guiding couples of all ages and stages in managing conflict and building a stronger friendship.
In addition to being a therapist, I also serve Emmaus Road as the Director of Operations and teach at local universities. I am a Southern California native who attended Azusa Pacific University to receive my Master’s in Clinical Psychology, emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy.
