My name is Christa and I am an MFT student at Azusa Pacific University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology in 2015. My past work in camp ministry and the outdoor adventure industry fostered a deep connection to nature that broadened my love of people. Understanding myself as part of the larger story of the planet has made me passionate about learning others’ stories. I view mental health holistically, encompassing a person’s relationships, spirituality, physical wellbeing, and connection to nature. I believe that taking the time to understand the context of the larger systems we are a part of allows us to gain a deeper understanding of who we really are and who we might want to become. I am eager to help clients explore their contexts and to build the self awareness necessary for nurturing holistic wellbeing. As a former staff member of Life Pacific University, I am honored to be serving at Emmaus Road, where I get to continue to be a part of the lives of LPU students. I believe that expression is survival, and am hopeful that therapy can become a safe haven for you to express yourself fully.
